The Democratic Party is profiting off of the American people in multiple ways. They spend money on campaign advertisements, they promise to pass legislation, and they even offer a free college education in order to win votes. The majority of Americans are not aware of this and are probably being taken advantage of by the party that we put our trust in time and time again. If you have been wondering how American politics really work, this blog post is for you!

We’ll be discussing why Democrats profit off the American people, what actions Republicans take to earn their money back from citizens without voting for them, and what can be done about it all. Republicans: We are the Party of Small Government, Lower Taxes, and Free Markets

The Republican Party is the party that holds small-government ideals. They believe that self-sufficiency is the most important American ideal and that our own ability to run our lives has been restricted by big government. Because of this belief, they have made it a goal to “shrink” the government so it may better serve its people. For example, in 2014 Republicans took over both branches of Congress and passed multiple bills aimed at reducing government spending. This is why when you hear a member of Congress talk about taking “the Washington” out of Washington D.C., they mean a divorce from excessive spending. But how do we get back the power that the government has taken from us?

The best way to control government spending is through lower taxes. If you don’t want the government to spend a lot of money, you have to take their money away from them first by lowering taxes so they have less of it. You can read more about small-government platforms in this blog post.

Democrats: We’ll Give You Anything You Want If You Vote for Us!

While Republicans are operating under a platform of small-government ideals, Democrats are operating under a platform that is centered around giving out free stuff. This is why in the past decade and a half, government spending has grown from $1.3 trillion annual to $2.7 trillion. This number means that nearly half of all government spending is on giving out free stuff like welfare, healthcare, food stamps, and student loans.

So which party benefits the most from this spending? Well, it helps to look at who the majority of these free-stuff users vote for. The left and right sides of political parties have always been a bit different: Republicans consist of mostly conservatives, while Democrats consist of most liberals. Because the left is so vastly liberal and the right is so greatly conservative, the two parties tend to disagree on nearly every issue.

This being said, if welfare recipients generally vote Democratic, who benefits from all this welfare spending? The Democratic Party does! So how do they take our hard-earned money without us noticing? They do it by offering us “free stuff” that we want like a free college education or healthcare. They use these free-stuff benefits as a carrot on a stick to entice voters to choose them instead of their opponents. But what would happen if one party passed a law that made free stuff illegal?

Republicans: It’s Not Just About Lowering Taxes

Some people might look at Republicans and think, “They don’t care about lower taxes; they only want the money.” While this couldn’t be farther from the truth, it does bring up an important point: there are different ways to get money back from the government. The purpose of lowering taxes is not only for lower taxes but also for a more productive citizenry.

If you lower taxes, people will have more money in their pockets to spend on what they need. They won’t be forced to pay hundreds of dollars every year to the government. So when a Republican says that they want smaller government and lower taxes, you shouldn’t think of them as trying to earn money back from the people. Instead, think of them as wanting the best for us by taking excess money away from big government so it can no longer buy elections or bribe their way into staying in power.

What Can You Do About It?

The next time the Democratic Party comes knocking on your door offering free stuff, ask yourself if it’s really free or if there are strings attached. Remember that Republicans are the party that wants smaller government and lower taxes so we can have more money in our pockets to spend on what we want.
